I been loving your blogs. This is great study,I have been seeing this more and more in regards to men and women but not so much with men and "unattractive", nerd, etc women.
Can any policy, however high minded, be moral if it leads to widespread corruption, imprisons so many, has so racist an effect, destroys our inner cities, wreaks havoc on misguided &
vulnerable individuals and brings death and destruction to foreign countries?
Thanks - I'm glad you like what I've been posting.
I've been seeing it a bit too, so when I came across it I thought it was perfect. But there's something I've been thinking about. Since men in general do most of the asking out, they are the
one's picking out the mates and men by in large want a woman that looks good on their arm. So when the girl gets asked out she may overlook his below-standard looks and accept his invitation
if he has a winning personality among other relevant characteristics. So maybe women need to take more control of the situation so we can turn this sucker around!
I understand what your saying. I just wonder if a "plain jane" asked out a guy she felt was out of her league would the guy go out with her. I see a lot of girls that have great confidence
and have the personality that ask guys out and get turned down. I wonder why is that. I think we as women need to be more out going and assertive when we want to ask someone out or see
someone that catches our eye.

Totally agree - I do think it would help if women would do more asking but I was reluctant to say it (in fact I started to type it earlier, but erased it) only b/c women and men have been
conditioned to have distinct roles in courtship. Man asks woman out, woman accepts or turns him down. Or woman asks man out and man runs away b/c she's seen as aggressive. I honestly feel a
lot of us would have more luck if we took the lead more often. Gosh, I hate to say it but I've been guilty of letting or getting the guy to do the asking. But after this retreat I went on
last week, I'm thinking it would help trying to mix up a bit. Maybe I'll recount successes/failures in a later post...
What type of retreat did you go on. I haven't been on a retreat since high school - they were so informative and I learned so much during those retreats.

I hadn't been on one in a while. But I went primarily b/c my aunt organized it. It was a women's retreat though which focused on how god relates to every aspect of your life including
male/female relationships. I was wondering if it was going to be hokey, but it turned out to be very enlightening.
